Coach Saul Phillips led North Dakota State to its first Summit League championship and NCAA Division I tournament appearance in 2009. He led them back to the Tournament in 2014 where they defeated Oklahoma in overtime 80-75, marking it the first NCAA tournament win in the team’s history. Coach Saul Phillips has an overall winning record of 187-127 (.596). He just recently led Ohio to the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) tournament in 2016.
Another NCAA tournament appearance will increase Coach Phillips stock greatly.
